Review #16 - Talisker 10

Whiskey at sunrise once more! A much less fun morning than yesterday. Feeling achy and the cats are being hellions. Hopefully a dram can assist.

Color: Is this colored? I'm thinking so. Slightly worn pennies.

Nose: Earthy smoke, fresh clean seawater, peeled apples, and old oranges.

Palate: Smoky and peppery. Very full. Light hints of sea salt and sweetness.

Finish: Long smoky heat, dried figs and oranges followed by sweet malt.

Verdict: I stand by the fact this dram is a bonfire on a quiet night at the beach after a good day sailing. It's a staple in my cabinet, and that's why I chose it for this review. It's full flavored, fresh and bracing while being warm and satisfying.
